Multi-Fineline Electronix Incorporated (MFLX) is involved in the engineering, design, and manufacture of flexible printed circuit boards and related component assemblies for the electronics industry in the United States and the People’s Republic of China. Its products are used in mobile phones, smart mobile devices, portable bar code scanners, personal digital assistants, computer-storage devices, and medical devices.

The company serves original equipment manufacturers, electronic manufacturing service providers, and display manufacturers. It sells products through in-house design and application engineers. The company was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Anaheim, California. Multi-Fineline Electronix, Incorporated is a subsidiary of WBL Corporation Limited.

Multi-Fineline has stellar fundamentals with tremendous sales and earnings growth. The company has annual sales over $618 million and in percentage terms has a sales growth rate exceeding 29 percent per year. The last earnings announcement showed record second quarter net sales for the three months ended March 31, 2008, which increased by approximately 45 percent to $163.9 million from $113.4 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2007, primarily due to increased sales to three of the company''s key customers.

Net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 increased 240 percent from the comparable period in 2007 to $10.4 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, compared to $3.1 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, for the same period in fiscal 2007. This year-over-year increase in net income was due primarily to higher gross margin on a favorable product mix.

The stock is in an Elliott Wave-4 buy formation, projecting gains into the $33 per share area over the next few months. The company does have a liquid options market that currently extend out to February of 2009 allowing an options trader more than enough time to play this potential bullish opportunity.
