Please don't take this as a trade recommendation (I'm not even an instructor...just a student, like yourself), but historically, IBM seems to have had pretty good cyclical properties around earnings, at least up until 2005 or so. Might be a decent case study to backtest and paper trade.

Hi all,

I am new to US options trading and currently researching the reaction of stocks /options to the quarterly release of earnings. Can anyone ‘recommend’ any stocks / options I can research to track historical trends?

Also an opinion if this is a profitable when placing ‘straddles’, any advices and help I would really appreciate.

Thanks
SC
