General Description: The PreferredTrade system offered by Fimat USA caters to active option and stock traders. PreferredTrade offers a direct access network that provides unfiltered access to all major listed and OTC stock venues, including ECN's, all U.S. option exchanges, and all financial futures points of execution. The PreferredTrade software offers an easy to use platform with fast execution speed for retail orders and large block orders for institutions.

The PreferredTrade software features proprietary brokerage technology that provides a comprehensive product mix including: front-end execution platform, high volume order management and routing capabilities, FIX API connectivity and a self-clearing operation.

As a member of the Fimat Group, Fimat USA is part of a global organization with membership on 44 futures and options exchanges and 19 stock exchanges. The Fimat Group is wholly owned by Societe Generale Group and includes Fimat International Banque, S.A., in Paris and other locations around the world.

One of the world's largest brokerage organizations, the Fimat Group offers global clearing and execution services on listed and OTC derivatives and cash products such as fixed income, tangible commodities, forex and equities. Fimat Group has a network of 29 offices located in 26 key financial marketplaces around the world.

New Margin Rules for Option Trading: An important offering by Fimat concerns recent rule changes for risk-based margining by the SEC, which has allowed the firm to offer a program for Portfolio Margining of broad-based index options and corresponding ETFs and equity options. Eligible accounts can be subject to a more efficient margin treatment based on the net risks of the eligible instruments, instead of the standard Reg T margin requirements. The program works as a modified risk-based haircut, without the customer being a registered broker/dealer under the SEC. Benefits may include the freeing up of significant capital in some qualified trading accounts. Starting in April 2007, the following will be approved for portfolio margining status: Index futures, narrow-based index options, and underlying cash equities.

Features: The PreferredTrade 6 trading platform was designed by professional traders for professional traders. The system provides a sophisticated and powerful trading platform for active traders, institutions and hedge funds to execute equities, options and futures. The multi-window application has many value-added features that ensure efficient management and implementation of your trading strategies. PreferredTrade 6 delivers key competitive advantages of speed, user-friendly point and click trading, and direct access order routing.
